Q. What is a SPRINT printer?
The AnaJet SPRINT is a next generation direct-to-garment apparel printer
from AnaJet, with significantly reduced maintenance needs and higher performance
than prior generation printers.
Q. Does the SPRINT replace
the FP-125 model?
A. No, AnaJet produces and supports both the FP-125 and SPRINT models.
The lower priced FP-125 model owners can take advantage of much of the
SPRINT technology through upgrades at a nominal cost.
Q. What is the main advantage
of SPRINT?
A. The SPRINT has a number of improvements compared to other apparel printers.
The net result is about 30% more production rate. Much of the production
efficiency comes from improved ink flow, less head cleaning, less maintenance,
and improved printer software. The SPRINT printer software also reduces
instances of banding and supports higher resolution printing (1,440 x
1,440 dpi) for photographic details and truer color reproduction.
Q. Details on Ink Flow,
Head Cleaning and Maintenance.
A. The SPRINT uses a significantly improved version of the F-mach print
head. In most production runs, there is no need to perform print head
cleaning during a job. In the morning startup phase, most days there is
no need to do print head cleaning. The print head cleaning is now eliminated
from the daily required routine. It is recommended only as needed when
a nozzle check calls for it. With Auto Print Head Maintenance, the recommended
maintenance is now just a weekly cleaning of the Maintenance Station and
Wiper Blade, a simple 5-minute procedure.
Q. What is the Auto Head
Maintenance and How it Affects Ink Flow?
A. The SPRINT incorporates an improved Auto Print Head Maintenance feature.
Combined with the second generation print head, Auto Print Head Maintenance
further reduces manual maintenance requirements. The result is less banding,
better ink flow and higher productivity.
Q. Can I upgrade my FP-125
model to SPRINT ?
A. Although the SPRINT inherited many of the highly acclaimed features
of the FP-125, and the two models share many commonalities, they are two
different products. The FP-125 cannot be upgraded to the SPRINT. The new
print head, however, is compatible with the FP-125. When the FP-125 is
fitted with the new replacement print head, there is a significant improvement
in ink flow and less need for head cleans. FP-125 Printer owners can download
a FREE software upgrade from Tech Support Section of this web site with
many new features similar to SPRINT software. With a new print head and
new version software, the FP-125 will realize a significant part of the
benefits of the SPRINT.
Q. Can the FP-125 Ink Cartridges
and Service Parts Be Used in SPRINT?.
A. The ink cartridges are completely compatible. Many of the service parts
are also compatible, but some service parts are unique to each model.
Q. Does PolyBright
Ink for Polyester and Nylon also work on SPRINT?
A. Yes, both AnaBright® (for cotton and cotton blends) and PolyBright
(for synthetic fibers and blends) ink cartridges work with both models
of the AnaJet printers.
Q. We are Trained at the
AnaJet University for FP-125. Do we need new training for SPRINT?
A. The operations are very similar. If you are trained for the FP-125,
there is no need for retraining, although AnaJet customers are always
welcome to be retrained at no cost.
